Bachelor in Molecular Biology and Genetics

The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics prepares students to become researchers in this area of biology. The Department houses state-of-the-art laboratories that allow the study of high-throughput genomics, bioinformatics, recombinant DNA, model organisms, and cell cultures for educational and research purposes. The main focus of research activities is on the molecular genetics and biology of human diseases such as cancer, autoimmunity, and rare inherited neurodevelopmental phenotypes. Students have the opportunity to study with internationally recognized faculty members working at the forefront of research in genetics and cell science.
