Intelligent products of the future will change the ways in which people work and play. To envision these developments requires empathy and responsibility on the part of designers. It requires skills of critical judgment and an open-minded attitude as well as competencies beyond traditional engineering and computer science. It additionally requires engagement in multidisciplinary teams for the development of successful products and services that benefit the world.

The master's programme in Integrated Product Design teaches students how to create sustainable products, services, systems and business models. In one of two distinct specialisations, students either explore product, service and system design in relation to users and markets, or management of innovation and product development processes. Graduates have the expertise for careers in a wide range of industrial and business sectors.

The MSc Program in Integrated Product Design approaches the Product Design discipline in a comprehensive and systemic way, with a strong cultural attitude. Within an accelerated social and technical progress, products progressively evolve into complex systems that merge both tangible and intangible aspects.

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Food Innovation and Product Design (FIPDes) is a two-year academic programme in the field of food science and product development offered through cooperation between five European universities. Graduates will be able to take on the huge challenges and opportunities in the sector of food innovation, product design and packaging. They will typically either start their own manufacturing or consulting business, find positions either in their country or in a national branch of a major international food brand, or they will return to academia as doctoral students within the food/innovation field.
