Study aims

The aim of teaching at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of VŠB-TUO is to educate and educate young professionals of excellent qualities who are not only capable of full application in practice by the complexity of their education but also due to the considerable possibilities. As it is not entirely predictable as to the further development of the field, the study will aim to provide graduates with knowledge of natural and social sciences, expertise and skills in civil engineering and architecture, architectural design and graphic representation of designs. Graduates will also be able to implement the proposals. With the acquired knowledge and competence, the outgoing engineer architect will be able to find a wide application in the labour market, and flexibly respond to continuous technological, social and legislative developments. The master's program Architecture and Civil Engineering, the main objective is to teach students the quality analysis and synthesis of the problem of architectural design and practice, which is the basis not only of each quality architectural solution but also a tool for easy adaptation to possible changes and development.

Graduate's knowledge

The graduate has a deep knowledge and understanding of the subject and scope of the field corresponding to the current state of knowledge. The graduate has broad knowledge and understanding of theories, concepts and methods corresponding to the current state of knowledge in the field. The graduate has an understanding of the possibilities, conditions and limitations of the use of knowledge of related fields.

Graduate's skills

The graduate can independently define and creatively solve a theoretical or practical problem in the field using professional knowledge. The graduate can solve a complex problem independently and creatively using selected theories, concepts and methods of the field.

Graduate's general competence

Le diplômé peut prendre des décisions indépendantes et responsables dans des contextes nouveaux ou changeants ou dans un environnement en pleine évolution concernant les conséquences sociales plus larges de la prise de décision. Le diplômé peut définir des tâches pour des activités professionnelles, les coordonner et assumer la responsabilité finale de leurs résultats en fonction du contexte en évolution et des ressources disponibles. Le diplômé peut résoudre le problème éthique de manière autonome. Le diplômé peut communiquer ses avis d'expert de manière compréhensible et convaincante aux experts et au grand public. Le diplômé peut utiliser ses connaissances professionnelles, ses compétences professionnelles et ses compétences générales dans au moins une langue étrangère. Le diplômé peut planifier, soutenir et gérer en utilisant des connaissances théoriques dans le domaine de l'acquisition de connaissances, de compétences et de compétences professionnelles supplémentaires auprès d'autres membres de l'équipe.

Emploi du diplômé

Le diplômé d'un master de deux ans trouvera un emploi principalement en tant que concepteur-architecte créatif avec de solides connaissances techniques dans le domaine de la conception conceptuelle et de la conception de tous les types de construction de bâtiments et en tant que coordinateur principal du projet. Une autre possibilité d'application professionnelle est dans les institutions administratives et les bureaux s'occupant de la question de la construction, y compris de l'entretien des monuments. L'achèvement des études de master est une condition préalable à la poursuite éventuelle des études de doctorat.
